End of the week buyer support flooded cattle markets Friday with aggressive
triple-digit gains seen in all live cattle and feeder cattle contracts. Hog
futures remain mixed in relatively sluggish end of the week interest.

GENERAL COMMENTS:
Livestock markets posted aggressive end of the week gains in cattle markets,
with nearby feeder cattle futures leading the surge higher, gaining over $4 per
cwt in all remaining 2025 contract months. This helped to solidify
follow-through buyer support in live cattle markets with August futures posting
a $4.10 per cwt rally. The ability to build off of support levels set earlier
this week is helping to create additional market optimism through the entire
cattle market. Lean hog futures posted mixed trade with nearby gains offsetting
deferred pressure. Hog prices closed higher on the Daily Direct Afternoon hog
report, up $0.09 with a weighted average of $108.09 on 1,446 hogs. July corn
closed up 8 cents at $4.175 and July soybean meal closed up $0.20 at $271.10.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 432.43 points at 43,819.27.
